KitTrail License Agreement

These terms govern use of the KitTrail application under a valid license. The Licensor and rights holder is Liubov Leonidovna Demidova, a self-employed taxpayer under Russia’s Tax on Professional Income (NPD), INN 250362444501. Contact: hello@getkittrail.com. Purchase terms are in the Public Offer; sales are currently closed.

1. License

The Licensor grants the Purchaser a simple (non-exclusive) license to install, launch, and use KitTrail for macOS within the purchased plan. The license does not transfer exclusive rights and has no fixed calendar end date, but does not last beyond the term of the exclusive right, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

One purchase provides one license key. The plan limit is the number of simultaneously activated physical Macs: 1, 2, or 5. Multiple macOS accounts on one physical Mac count as one computer for this limit.

2. Permitted shared use

The Purchaser may allow other people to use KitTrail by sharing the license credentials, provided the total simultaneous-activation limit is observed. The original Purchaser remains the purchase owner and manages the license, recovery, and refund requests. Sharing the key does not create a separate contract between the other user and the Licensor.

The license may not be resold, activation slots may not be rented, and slots may not be systematically redistributed as a commercial pool. These limits do not prohibit ordinary shared use within the plan.

3. Activation and deactivation

Initial activation requires an Internet connection and a license check by the server. After activation, the application uses a local license proof and does not require a permanent server connection for ordinary launch; individual network features may require Internet access.

The Purchaser may deactivate the application on an available Mac to free a slot for another physical Mac within the plan. If the previous computer is unavailable, the Purchaser may request help at hello@getkittrail.com. Recovery depends on being able to verify authority over the license and on service availability; no fixed response time is promised.

4. Download and updates

The installer is available at /download. Downloading the file does not issue a license or replace activation. A valid key or other issued proof is required to use licensed features.

All KitTrail updates within major version 1.x are provided to Purchasers at no additional charge, including updates from 1.0 to 1.1, 1.5, and 1.9. Terms for future major versions 2.x, 3.x, and later will be determined separately; free access to every future major version is not promised. This does not terminate the purchased right to use the prior major version. Updates are not promised on a fixed schedule.

5. Restrictions and third-party products

Users may not exceed the plan’s simultaneous-activation limit, circumvent license checks, resell or rent activation slots, or distribute cracked or unauthorized copies. These restrictions do not prohibit acts that mandatory law does not allow a contract to prohibit.

KitTrail may help users find or install third-party applications. A KitTrail license does not grant rights to those applications. Their licenses, prices, availability, and data processing are determined by their providers.

6. License termination and mandatory rights

A license ends on grounds provided by the contract and law, including after a lawful full refund of the corresponding purchase. Licensing terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights. No term excludes liability or remedies where applicable law prohibits that exclusion.
